The Humanities Council is pleased to announce Devin Fore as the new Chair of the Committee for Film Studies, which promotes interdisciplinary appreciation of cinema throughout Princeton by bringing filmmakers and film scholars to campus and publicizing screenings and film- and media-related courses and events.
A longtime advocate for film and media studies at the University, Fore is Professor of German and Chair of the Department of German. His research interests include media studies and the history and theory of literature. In addition to his role on the Committee, Fore also serves as Co-Director of the Program in Media and Modernity, which explores the intersection of culture and technology.
